Log 002 [Voice/Text]

[TEXT]

I am told I must thank a man named "Xigbar" for helping Booth get these skeletons. I do appreciate it, thus, my thanks.

I am still confused as to where this place is on Earth and I reject the notion that this is possibly not on it. The plant life us very much Earth-like and the way the soil is composed (I am not the best for this sort of conclusion, I usually leave this to Hodgins) seems to be akin to the native soil we have all over the world.

I will reaffirm, I am not a major in Botany or Ecology.

That being said, I am interested in looking at this lake that I'm told is south of the place where Booth and I are staying; I am told it's considered a community housing number 6. How long would it take to travel there, assuming I will need to go by foot? Are there certain things I should be aware of during the travels? Traps, animals, etc. Where would be the best place to get some hiking equipment if it's available, (a compass, boots, machete, things to repel insects, trail mix/rations for about three days, perhaps a tent?)

And where would be the best place to procure a fishing rod? Would I need to make one by hand? Or would I have to find something to trade. As well as a simple boat. Row boat or canoe, I would imagine would be best. I would like to say, this will be more than likely during the warmer days or during days where rain is not a factor.

[voice/action if Booth wants]

I need to thank you again, Booth. I love the skeletons. I feel more at home here.
However, I believe we should go exploring sometime, yes? I am curious of the other places. And yes, I would like to go to the lake with you. It's why I'm asking.

I apologize. I should have been more productive in my time here.

[But she hadn't been herself. And then once she had, she'd fallen into guilt and self-pity for the things she'd done under the brainwashing's influence. Only now, this time, has she begun to really truly involve herself in Luceti.]

Yeah... I can't... I don't know. It's like parrots. I would not be able to shoot a parrot. Except in self-defense.

[That was a joke, but it's relatively deadpanned and if called on it, he'll stand by this assertion.]

Can't blame you there. You might be able to dig up a thing or two, but sometimes extra info does come in handy. It's good for a reference, if nothing else.

[He shrugs.]

Not necessarily, ma'am.

Gravity is around 1G, but planets can look like Earth under several circumstances: Through natural means, or terraformation. Most colonies where I'm from are like this.

I agree with the Doctor Mizuno on that matter, especially constellations.

I assume from your description of "Earth" conditions that you are from a Terran multiversion... That seems to be the case with many of the hominid sapients here. [Robert nods a little to himself.]

You are correct in that the plant life and soil composition of this region are quite similar to pre-Terran "Earth", at least from my understanding of such. However, there are many subtle differences that have arisen, possibly from the fact that this area is an artificial enclosure but also possibly because of multiversal physics; for example, the biota in this region are... not representative of all boreal forests, and indeed the biosphere seems as manufactured as the rest of this place...

Doctor Mizuno also mentioned variations in the constellations, and the presence of the so-called Filial Spirits; I have never had any evidence of the latter myself, but I am less disinclined to accept their existence now. [Robert pauses a moment, summing up his thoughts.] If you are from a pre-Terran "Earth" without magic or other such paranormal things, like my own multiversion, then perhaps seeing magic would be very strange for you. I know it was an extremely... difficult to accept occurrence for myself.

However, I must admit that I have no real evidence of this place not being an "Earth"-like multiversion. Whatever it is, though, it is most certainly not the planet I am familiar with, and neither is it the planet many of the inhabitants that come from Terram multiversions are familiar with.

Have you tried the shops?

[ brennan's way of speaking spooks her a bit but she's a friend of booth's and so buffy makes the effort. ]

You deal with skeletons?

[Voice]

[identity profile] boomchucka.livejournal.com 2011-03-27 03:08 pm (UTC)(link)
You're welcome.

Hmmmm... I'm sure you could ask around about getting one built for you then.

Hey, no problem. Always glad to give a hand.

Exactly.

[identity profile] notsofunnybones.livejournal.com 2011-03-28 02:48 pm (UTC)(link)
It's fine, I prefer to come to my own conclusions, however, help is always welcome.

[Voice]

[identity profile] notsofunnybones.livejournal.com 2011-03-28 02:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you again, I will do just that.

[voice]

[identity profile] notsofunnybones.livejournal.com 2011-03-28 02:50 pm (UTC)(link)
That is true, I will look through the guide, if only for some direction in what I need to clarify for myself.

[identity profile] notsofunnybones.livejournal.com 2011-03-28 02:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Colonies, I assume you are referring to a separate dimension as was explained by the doctor above. Hm.

Would you be open to explaining your worlds to me, miss? I'm interested in the technology you would have.

[Voice] | They should all get together and talk about this shit. It'd be hilarious.

[identity profile] notsofunnybones.livejournal.com 2011-03-28 03:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I see. Hm.

I am now partial to the theory that we're possibly been transversed over many galaxies, at this point. I am most interested in knowing how they managed to perfect the art of cryogenic freezing of humans and space travel. As well as knowing where the technological level of each place is at.

Would you mind me asking you questions about where you are from? Consider it probing your brain, if you will. [OTL. She thinks it's funny. OTL. And so she's laughing slightly.]

I do not believe in magic. It is highly unlikely that there is such a think without science being able to explain it.

[ voice ]

[identity profile] notsofunnybones.livejournal.com 2011-03-28 03:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I have not, but I am looking for suggestions to minimize the search. As well as making sure there would be such a thing and I would not be searching in vain.

[I'm sorry, Buffy. D: Bones won't loosen up around you/anyone but Booth for a long time. she's still half believing she's dead.]

Okay, so no hunting here.

Fishing instead.

[voice] -- BTW. OOC, I fucking love you. Xigbar is fucking awesome. ♥

[identity profile] notsofunnybones.livejournal.com 2011-03-28 03:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I still must thank you, it was very nice of you to help Booth get them.

Re: [Voice]

[identity profile] notsofunnybones.livejournal.com 2011-03-28 03:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I thought that was the point of me getting a fishing rod.

Re: [Voice]

[identity profile] unmarryable.livejournal.com 2011-03-28 03:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Right, I'm just agreeing with you.

Re: [Voice]

[identity profile] notsofunnybones.livejournal.com 2011-03-28 03:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Would you want me to get you one as well?

Perhaps when the weather is warm we can procure a tent of sorts. As well as sleeping bags. If this lake is beautiful enough.

Re: [Voice]

[identity profile] unmarryable.livejournal.com 2011-03-28 04:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah? Actually that'd be great! I always wanted to teach Parker fishing if I ever had enough time.

Re: [Voice]

[identity profile] notsofunnybones.livejournal.com 2011-03-28 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
You don't "teach" fishing, Booth.

Re: [Voice]

[identity profile] unmarryable.livejournal.com 2011-03-28 04:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, take him fishing then.
