[TEXT]

I am told I must thank a man named "Xigbar" for helping Booth get these skeletons. I do appreciate it, thus, my thanks.

I am still confused as to where this place is on Earth and I reject the notion that this is possibly not on it. The plant life us very much Earth-like and the way the soil is composed (I am not the best for this sort of conclusion, I usually leave this to Hodgins) seems to be akin to the native soil we have all over the world.

I will reaffirm, I am not a major in Botany or Ecology.

That being said, I am interested in looking at this lake that I'm told is south of the place where Booth and I are staying; I am told it's considered a community housing number 6. How long would it take to travel there, assuming I will need to go by foot? Are there certain things I should be aware of during the travels? Traps, animals, etc. Where would be the best place to get some hiking equipment if it's available, (a compass, boots, machete, things to repel insects, trail mix/rations for about three days, perhaps a tent?)

And where would be the best place to procure a fishing rod? Would I need to make one by hand? Or would I have to find something to trade. As well as a simple boat. Row boat or canoe, I would imagine would be best. I would like to say, this will be more than likely during the warmer days or during days where rain is not a factor.

[voice/action if Booth wants]

I need to thank you again, Booth. I love the skeletons. I feel more at home here.
However, I believe we should go exploring sometime, yes? I am curious of the other places. And yes, I would like to go to the lake with you. It's why I'm asking.

Exactly, I would rather sooth your unease about me running off and getting killed by some fictional creature by being cautious around you. Even if I see no need for it.

[Flat tone in return.] That's sort of the reverse thing to be cautious about. I'd rather you were more willing to get lost so long as you took uh -- everything else seriously.

See, Booth. If I was lost, you would come searching for me and if I had died, you would be mad at me. Thus, I'd rather be safe than leave you alone.

Of course I'd come searching. But you really shouldn't equate getting lost with dying. The latter would be a lost worse.

So let's just not let either happen, okay?

Yes, but the fact is; new place, I am completely unaware of the wildlife. If I was taken off guard, I would most likely be dead.

And of course, hence you coming with me.

Ah jeez, don't say things like that. What happened to all the four kinds of martial arts and "good shot" stuff? [So he wants her to worry, but when she does, he doesn't want that and wants to fix it. HM. Impossibility yes.]

Yeah, damn right I'm coming along. I won't let anything bad happen.

Booth, martial arts are very unaffectionate against wild animals and the gun I currently have is not the type I would use for hunting.

I'm glad you are.

Unaffectionate...? You mean ineffectual Bones.

I'm not sure you'd want to hunt the animals here. I swear they talk. And no, I'm not hallucinating. You can look through the journal. Some of them even have journals of their own. And other people see them too.

I'd rather not hunt here, as it is.

Because, if these animals talk, I can only assume that they have a humanistic brain capacity. It would be like murder.

Yeah... I can't... I don't know. It's like parrots. I would not be able to shoot a parrot. Except in self-defense.

[That was a joke, but it's relatively deadpanned and if called on it, he'll stand by this assertion.]

Okay, so no hunting here.

Fishing instead.

I thought that was the point of me getting a fishing rod.

Right, I'm just agreeing with you.

Would you want me to get you one as well?

Perhaps when the weather is warm we can procure a tent of sorts. As well as sleeping bags. If this lake is beautiful enough.

Yeah? Actually that'd be great! I always wanted to teach Parker fishing if I ever had enough time.

You don't "teach" fishing, Booth.

That's correct. But, yes, we should go fishing. And scout out more of the region.

Do they have those fancy lure things here or do we need to catch worms?
